Let’s talk about the work, the problem, and what comes next.
Component creation, site maintenance, and performance optimizations for scalable election coverage in JS and a PHP backend.
Hello. I'm Sean Patrizzo, a husband, father of two, and a passionate web technologist with over a decade of experience in working with and building scalable digital products.
From QA to election-night engineering, I build and maintain dependable web experiences - and the tools that make building better.
01 / The Beginning
When I was young, I always had an interest in computers, games, and digital technology. CD players to iPods, Game Boys to Tamagotchis, Windows 98 to OS X, evolutions and changes in technological superiority and simplicity like these were driving factors which served to grow my love of tech over time. As I got older, I learned how to forge that interest into a passion during my time at Rutgers University and, eventually, into a career at Fox. Beginning as a Quality Assurance analyst, becoming the lead of that department, transitioning into an active development role, and growing my experience further than I ever imagined possible as a Backend Engineer.
I spent years learning the ins and outs of web development and the SDLC; writing, working with, and deploying complex systems at scale in various languages and frameworks, some of which I'd never seen or used before. Then AI showed up and turned everything on its head. Writing became plan mode and goals, working with became prompting, and deploying became an automated task. Evolutions and changes struck again! In the midst of this chaos, however, it seems I've found that same passion which I felt I lost somewhere along the way—a new, unbridled (yet token-capped) feeling of being able to create anything.
02 / Early Learning
Manual, regression, exploratory, accessibility, and cross-device testing across Fox News Media’s web and mobile platforms. A major CMS transition made the details matter—and built the foundation for everything that followed.
03 / Managing and Leadership
Managed QA personnel, hiring, and onboarding. Overhauled documentation, standardized test planning, and defined testing protocols across browsers and devices.
04 / Developing Change
Built frontend-leaning features across Fox News and Fox Business. Worked across Handlebars, Angular, Svelte, PHP, and multiple CMS platforms.
05 / Building the Future
Delivered full-stack solutions across Fox News Media’s digital properties. Contributed to agentic development workflow improvements, including MCP integration, automated code reviews, and descriptive repo markdowns.
